Jorge‘s Ideas

• The mother’s always took their kids with them to the studio and it was like a party. • The music they made brought different people together and be happy. • He went to Graceland to make music with those musicians.

        I would describe myself as a new student just ready to learn and get my work done, i was like a shy type of person as i entered the class on August 12. Me as a learner i was looking forward to reading books and taking notes as i did in my other english classes the past 2 years as i would read lots of books or audiobooks and answering questions on what would happen in the book the main ideas and what the main characters would do and how they would act through out the whole book. Me as a learner now i am more comfortable with how we are learning and got used to doing blogs and i’m proud that i got a hang of doin all that online work and still doing it and will continue to do it cause i like how the class is.         The day that i met you i thought of you as a cool teacher you gave us students the decision on how we will learn in this English class i took it as in a way that you can trust us in making decisions on how we want to learn and what is the best way to learn for us.

• Learning changes your mind • “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds” • “To be great is to be misunderstood” • I believe that i inspire my little cousins to play soccer and become better at playing because they look up to me and ask me to go outside and play soccer with them, they like to play soccer since they were little. They go to my games and they cheer for me when i score they scream loud and give me a high five and i go to their games and i do the same thing. • There are some parts that inspire me to think differently on how the world works such as where Emerson said “Our Acts Our Angels Are” that really got me to think differently because the way we act and what we do sort of defines of we are and who we are becoming.

• What does “forbear” mean? • Something that caught my attention in the essay was “ it is easy in the world to live after the worlds opinion” that really caught my attention because many people go with the world opinion and what the world says and what everyone does around the world. • A question that i have is, how would he know that we would feel like that 200 years later from when he wrote this essay ? was it cause he felt what he was saying and has gone through what he was saying ? • In the essay i noticed a like he said that is so true and that it even relates to me and the line said “ Under  all these screens I have difficulty to detect the precise man you are.” • In self reliance i read that i should be concerned about what i am going through and not what the world is going through and not be concerned about the world.

•What does “It is a deliverance which does not deliver” mean. •This sculpture in the memory is not without preestablished memory. •A question that i have is what does “Self reliance is its aversion” mean. •What i think about what you said today in class was thinking about what other people say about you and how they judge you shouldn’t matter because it’s what you think that matters in life and what you wear and hat you think looks good for you not what other people say. •I think that his essay is making me realize a lot stuff about how to see yourself and other people differently than how you see them right now.
